HEROIC CS2
Who Is On HEROIC’s CS2 Team?
Following a roster rebuild at the end of 2023, HEROIC features an international squad with one Israeli player, one Macedonian player, one Russian and two Danish players. Below are exciting details about each player, including their greatest achievements, commentary on their play-style and role, and when they joined HEROIC.
René “TeSeS” Madsen
TeSeS is the longest-standing member of HEROIC’s CS2 team as he joined the organization on April 8, 2020. We love to see the Danish player bust a bombsite wide open in the Entry Fragger role, delivering exciting moments on each map. TeSeS is also a masterful tactician, previously performing in-game leader (IGL) duties.
With wins at ESL Pro League Season 13, Pinnacle Cup Championship, BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2022, and BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023 while playing under the HEROIC banner, TeSeS is already a decorated star. There’s no denying the Dane’s talent and willpower.
Rasmus “sjuush” Beck
It is no secret that Support player sjuush is one of the best in the business, thanks to his innate ability to stay calm under pressure. The Danish star joined HEROIC on Feb. 26, 2021. Under the org’s banner, sjuush was instrumental in claiming the gold at ESL Pro League Season 13, BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2022, and BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023.
The Support player previously saw success with MAD Lions, winning Flashpoint Season 1 in style, but the trophies started rolling in when he joined HEROIC. If there’s a player that any AWPer would like in their corner, supporting their every move, it’s sjuush. We consider him one of the best players to take on the support role.
Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov
The newest HEROIC CS2 member, replacing Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi, Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov joined the team as an AWPer wielding the “Big Green” with style.
Degster earned spots in eight Major Championship events. The AWPer for HEROIC has come second at the Thunderpick World Championship reaching the number 2 spot and coming 3-4th place a tBLAST Premier: World Final 2022 .
Guy “NertZ” Iluz
The Israeli rifler, NertZ, is one of the most exciting prospects in the entire CS2 esports scene. Winning “Rookie of the Year” at HLTV’s 2023 Award Show in Belgrade, he shines brightly as a rising star on HEROIC’s CS2 team.
NertZ had an impressive first year of top-tier competition with ENCE before he joined HEROIC on Dec. 17, 2023. With IEM Dallas 2023 as his only S-Tier event trophy, the expectation is that NertZ will fill his trophy cabinet with more gold quickly. We can’t wait to see how his play-style evolves on LAN and how his excellent teammates and IGL can push the rifler to the next level.
Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski
HEROIC completed their new international roster by signing Macedonian player kyxsan on Dec. 21, 2023. The CS2 esports community widely considers kyxsan an IGL to watch following his breakout success with his previous team, Apeks.
As an IGL, he has shown immense promise. He spearheaded Apeks’ incredible run at the BLAST Paris Major 2023, claiming a 3rd/4th place finish after losing to eventual winners Team Vitality. Coincidentally, that’s the exact placement HEROIC achieved at the event under its previous IGL, Casper “cadiaN” Møller! It is clear that kyxsan can lead HEROIC to victory, especially when combined with the knowledge of their coach.
Eetu “sAw” Saha (Coach)
With seven years of experience as a player in CS:GO before transitioning to a coaching role, sAw has a wealth of knowledge that no opponent should underestimate. The Finnish coach acclimated quickly after joining Heroic on Dec. 16, 2023. sAw works closely with the IGL, developing tactics, positioning, and rotation plans for their next big event.
As a coach, he led ENCE to a win at IEM Dallas 2023 and was also part of some great 2nd place finishes at IEM Cologne 2023 and Gamers8 2023. sAw has some notable 3rd/4th place finishes from huge events such as PGL Major Antwerp 2022, CS Asia Championships 2023, and ESL Pro League Season 18, which built confidence on LAN.
Standing alongside sAw is Mikael “sheddaN” Mellström, the Swedish-Brazilian assistant coach, who brings fresh CS2 strategies and ideas to the table.
The Future’s Bright For HEROIC
HEROIC’s CS2 roster is brimming with talent and raw skill that few teams can match. The players hunger for trophies, and their coaching staff is well-prepared to take the team to the next level. The multi-year partnership between HEROIC makes us the official betting partner for CS2, Dota 2, and Sim Racing squads. The sky’s the limit!
A Major Championship trophy still eludes HEROIC, as the organization’s best finish thus far is 2nd place at IEM Rio Major 2022. But we think it’s only a matter of time before they win a Major. This team of gifted and hardworking players has a bright future ahead of them, including competing in the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 with a direct invite to the main event.
Betting On HEROIC In 2024
With Thunderpick onboard as the official betting partner for HEROIC’s CS2, Dota 2, and Sim Racing teams, we like to think that their fans are in for an electrifying ride. In particular, their CS2 squad is a true melting pot of talent and ambition, and they’re backed by a dedicated coaching crew.
